Little Ones Learning Center is dedicated to providing highly qualified staff to meet your child's emotional, social, and educational needs. Our staff is comprised of a team of professionals in early childhood education. All lead teachers have CDA, Associates, Bachelors or higher degree and assistants must be committed to a professional development plan.
All candidates must submit to a criminal background check, drug testing and are fingerprinted. Hired applicants receive an orientation to Little Ones Learning Center. In addition, staff members attend professional workshops and conferences to improve their skills. Staff are trained in CPR and first aid on an annual basis and staff meet and exceed the state minimum training requirements. Little Ones Learning Center enjoys a lower-than-average staff turnover rate, which leads to higher stability and program quality.
A potential employee, pre-screened by Little Ones Learning Center administration normally starts out as a teaching candidate often serving as a substitute teacher throughout the center. This allows administration and staff to offer feedback on the candidate’s interactions. This process helps ensure only qualified, caring people work in our centers.
All new employees participate in a company orientation conducted by the director. Employees are briefed on company policies and procedures such as Communication, Classroom Management Strategies, Health & Safety and Curriculum. Our management team consists of 2 directors and an on-site owner. Staff attend workshops and conferences in the community. Our center and staff are members of the Georgia Child Care Association and The Black Child Development Institute. We were one of only 10 centers selected in Metro Atlanta to have an ongoing partnership with Georgia State University's B-5 Professional Development Project. Staff regularly participates in The Georgia Association of young Children's annual conference, seminars and many workshops. We also have several community partnerships which are a direct benefit to the children and staff at the center. On-line workshops and conferences are easily accessible to staff and are an additional means of professional development.
We are committed to retaining quality staff from year to year. Nationally, the turnover rate for child care averages 40%. Our teachers stay with Little Ones Learning Center which means consistent, quality care for children.
Lead teachers have advanced or specialized training including a CDA (Child Development Associate Credential), Associate, Bachelor, or Master’s degrees in Early Education or a related field. On site owner is a registered and licensed dietician and also holds a Masters in Health Care Administration.
