Highly Qualified Teachers and Staff

18 Hours of Training Per Year

Let Our Trained Staff Take Care of Your Child

Count on the highly qualified and trained staff at Little Ones Learning Center to provide your child with exceptional early childhood education. We'll take care of all your child's emotional, social, and educational needs. All our lead teachers have CDA, Associates, Bachelors or higher degrees and our assistants are committed to a professional development plan.

During the time of hiring, all the candidates undergo a thorough criminal background check and drug test. They are also fingerprinted. Once hired, the applicants receive an orientation to our facility. Our team attends professional workshops and conferences to improve their skills on a regular basis. They're also trained in CPR and first aid to ensure your child's safety.

Our management team:
 - Olutoyin Okunoren MS, RD, President, and CEO
 - Wande Okunoren-Meadows, Director of Culture, Quality, and Engagement
 - Calese Baker, Center Director
 - Ashley Strickland, Early Childhood Program Administrator, Lead Instructor
 - Sherlyn Tillery, Lead Peer Instructor
 - Stacie McQuagge, Curriculum Coordinator

Our Hiring Practices, Orientation, Mentoring, and Ongoing Training Process

Once the pre-screening by our administration is complete, the teaching candidate starts out as a substitute teacher throughout the center. This process allows the administration and staff to offer feedback on the candidate's interaction with the kids. We ensure that only qualified and caring people work at our center.

All new employees participate in a company orientation conducted by the director. Employees are briefed on company policies and procedures such as communication, classroom management strategies, health, safety, and curriculum. Our management team consists of 2 directors and an on-site owner.

We're members of the Georgia Child Care Association and the Black Child Development Institute. We were one of only 10 centers selected in Metro Atlanta to have an ongoing partnership with Georgia State University's B-5 Professional Development Project.

Our staff regularly participates in the Georgia Association of Young Children's annual conference, seminars, and many workshops. We also have several community partnerships which offer a direct benefit to the children and staff at the center. Our team also has easy access to additional means of professional development like online workshops and conferences.
